Jitta Art is a collective of Traditional Owners and Elders creating authentic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander creations using techniques spanning back through thousands of years.

They pride themselves in sharing their knowledge and teaching younger generations traditional methods of basket weaving, painting and pottery.

Many hours are spent gathering, cutting and treating particular grasses to create both fine weave and open weave baskets, an ornamental artefacts that showcase intricate and finite detail.

Jitta Art provide workshops to youth and women groups to ensure these sacred cultural traditions are carried forward into future generations, providing startup opportunities for Indigenous youth and financial independence for women.
