As an indigenous women and traditional owner of Magnetic Island, Palm Islands Townsville and Yarrabah North QLD, Paulene Burns is passionate about environmental conservation and land management and is currently pursuing studies in this area.

Whilst studying, Paulene has combined her passion for environmental conservation with her love for art and photography, and expresses this fusion of artistic expression through diamond painting, etching and photography.
